Just moments before I accepted Jesus into my heart, I remembered the saying,

 

"if you want your soul to be saved, you must mean it with your heart. That is the way that Jesus will honor your devotion." ​​​​​

I once heard a saying from a Christian man who said,

 

"there should be one thing added at the end of the encouragement which helps lead sinners to a saved life,—'it will be the hardest decision of your entire life."​

From that day forward God wasn't simply knocking at the door of my heart.

 

I had opened the door wide and allowed the power of the Holy Spirit to equip and guide my life.

I wasn't very old when I got saved by the blood of Jesus, I was a boy about 12-13.

 

I also was very lost in the world at the time; my habits were nasty and out-of-control.

 

I hated to obey authority, and I loved to do things my way.​​​​

​

The holy spirit has been patient with me.

 

In my journey it has showed me the everlasting love of God.

 

I now understand what it means to be a child of God, adopted into the family of God, changed from enemy to friend.
